November 01 2023: Dog of the Month!

Generation Pup

This is Willow. A huge thank you to Willow and owner, Ian, for participating in Generation Pup. Ian told us “Willow came to us as a rescue from DT. We by chance, met her as a foster dog being looked after by someone who worked at a local dog daycare centre. Willow was a very tiny little cuddle monster when we met her. Obviously fell immediately in love with her, even though we knew she had a few issues. We applied for her, was granted and the rest is, well in a nutshell, a great little friend and still a cuddle monster for us and our other rescue Gracie.

We are told that Willow has only 30% vision in one eye, virtually none in the other and some hearing issues. This hardly notices until she is in unfamiliar surroundings. Her back story is; Mum was smuggled pregnant into the country to sell the pups, was caught by customs and taken to DT Canterbury, and then transferred to DT Basildon. She was then fostered and that is how we met. As both Mum and Dad were Merle she is a double Merle, this is one of the reasons for her issues. She has 3 other siblings and played regularly with her brother at the day care centre where we met. She is a curious and adventurous dog and loves her comforts. She plays with our other rescue Gracie (also on the Generation Pup program) really well. We could not have wished for a more perfect dog if we had tried.”

If you would like your dog to be in with a chance of being selected as our next ‘Dog of the Month’, please send us a photo and a short description of your Generation Pup dog via email or Facebook messenger.
